Founded in 1994, Peabody School is a PreKindergarten – 8th grade independent school serving gifted and academically advanced students, located in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Provides a differentiated learning experience through small class size (12-16 students) and expertly trained teachers who balance teacher-directed and student-initiated focus on inquiry and discovery.
Embraces educating the whole child with a focus on social-emotional development, as well as extensive opportunities in fine and performing arts, service learning, athletics, electives, and extracurricular programming.
Accredited by the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS), Peabody is also a member of the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC), the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), and the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities (VCIC).
