STUDENT LIFE

The Peabody School experience is so much more than just what happens in the classroom. Student life is robust here, with regular field trips throughout the year, community service classes, the Peabody Enrichment Program (PEP), plus art shows, drama and music performances, the annual talent show, and our athletics programs.

Peabody students participate in a number of clubs that meet regularly, including robotics, Lego, and Scrabble, and our students compete in the National Spelling, Geography and History Bees. Peabody also offers our Homework Club and After Care program (a state licensed after-school care program), which is a great support for working parents.

Middle school students are afforded higher levels of independence at Peabody. They elect officers to run the student government, plan and host their own dances, and raise money for their 8th grade Legacy Project – an opportunity to give back to their school with a gift of their own conception and execution. Past legacy projects have included the Peabody sign, the Peabody Panther on the floor of the Batten Building gym, and a Peabody bus for transporting students to field trips and athletic events.
