Séverine Frémy, a native of France, holds a Master’s of Education from the National School of Education in France, and a Bachelor’s degree in English and American literature and civilization. Madame Frémy arrived to Charlottesville in 2013 through a teacher exchange program to help facilitate educational partnerships between schools in Charlottesville and Besançon’s school district. Previously, Mme Frémy taught in France for 12 years at all levels, from lower school to mainly high school. She has also taught French in the UK for three years and, more recently, at the University of Mary Washington. During her free time Mme Frémy loves dancing, hiking, cooking, photography, reading, traveling and learning Italian.
Art

Eliza Rogan earned her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Virginia along with a Bachelor in Studio Arts. After graduating, she taught at Henley Middle School and at Tandem Friends School. After moving to Colorado in 2011, Eliza continued to teach art privately and through local schools and art centers and work as a full time muralist and illustrator. She also worked as Program Director at the Wyly Community Art Center where she planned, organized, and hired art professionals for a variety of adult and children’s classes. She also served as liaison between the art center and the schools, arranging school visits throughout the school year. Eliza is very excited to get back into the classroom!

Sarah Ridle received her Bachelor of Arts in Historic Preservation from Mary Washington and her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Washington. A native of Charlottesville and a Washington State certified K-8 teacher, Sarah was a kindergarten and first grade teacher at Open Window School, an independent K-8 school for gifted learners in Bellevue, WA, for eight years. Her other experience includes environmental education, Kagan Cooperative Learning, Seesaw, Responsive Classroom, and the Bridges Math curriculum.

David Devory graduated from Lehigh University with a BS in Marketing. Born and raised in New Jersey, Mr. Devory has enjoyed living in Virginia with his wife and three girls. He previously taught Algebra I, Algebra II and Geometry in New Jersey public schools, and has coached soccer, softball and basketball. He is a certified soccer referee and holds multiple soccer coaching licenses, currently coaching and refereeing for SOCA.

Devon McCade graduated from James Madison University in May of 2018 with a Masters in Elementary Education. During her undergraduate career she was a member of the executive board for the on-campus club Students Helping Honduras, traveling to Honduras several times and working closely with different communities to build schools in areas of need. Ms. McCade grew up in Charlottesville and realized her passion for teaching while working as a preschool camp counselor at ACAC. She loves baking, crafting, reading, and playing with her two beagles, Lilly and Bella.
Drama

Rhonda Saunders studied Drama and Theatre Studies at the University of Kent, Canterbury UK, specializing in Directing, then at the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama in London. She has been involved in youth theater from the age of 14 and was an assistant director and in-house designer by the time she was 16. Rhonda was Head of Drama at the Langley School in Norfolk for five years, and taught the full range of theater skills, from acting to lighting, script analysis to puppetry. She has lived in Virginia since 2013 with her husband Ken and children Noah and Amelie.

Jamie Ebersole earned his B.A. in English with a minor in Philosophy from Muhlenberg College and his M.A. in English from the University of Vermont. He has 20 years of experience teaching in middle school, high school, and collegiate settings. Most recently, he taught 9th grade English and AP English Language and Composition at The Episcopal School of Dallas, and prior to that he taught English and Humanities classes at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Austin, TX, where he was also a coach, college counselor and Senior Project Coordinator.
