His students will testify to his ability to make math fun and challenging for them as well as his unique sense of humor which comes through in his classes and workshops. He is the author of several books that are used by teachers and parents of mathematically gifted children around the country.

Nurturing a Mathematical Gift into a Passion
A failure to find mathematics challenging, interesting, or relevant are significant factors when children lose interest in mathematics. Children who are talented in mathematics must be exposed to material that lights a fire and nurtures their gift. This session will give teachers and parents information that will help them nurture their students’ passion for mathematics.

With the rise of STEM careers, encouraging students to strengthen their interest in mathematics is more important than ever. Parents and teachers attending the Gifted Education Speaker Series will have an opportunity to ask questions of Mr. Zaccaro and purchase select books from the author. If you would like to attend this event, please send an email with your name and phone number to Katie Murrah at kmurrah@peabodyschool.org.
