Elliot Rossman was selected, along with 21 other students, to be a part of Dreams Made Real (DMR) All Stars, a performance and outreach troupe of kids ages 8-14. In addition to performing at a variety of events this fall, Elliot has been rehearsing a 15 minute piece from the musical, Into the Woods, Jr., which he performed in Atlanta, GA at the Junior Theater Festival, the largest festival in the world that celebrates musical theater for youth. Elliot and the All Stars  performed and got feedback from Broadway performers, producers, and directors, but also attended classes and workshops in acting, singing, and dancing. He heard from a number of celebrity guests about working in the entertainment industry and attended a concert performed by Megan Hilty (star of SMASH and Wicked).

Elliot’s group (the DMR All Stars of DMR Adventures) won Excellence in Ensemble Work (one of only 12 groups who won that award), which is an award for every single actor in our group who made up the ensemble. The group also had a young woman and young man each win the Best Individual Performance Award (only 22 awards total were given for those out of over 2,500 kids who performed!).
Below are photos of the whole group after the awards ceremony, Elliot performing in the adjudication with the other three narrators,  and Ms. Charles with the trophy.Read the Playbill article about the festival here: http://www.playbill.com/news/article/megan-hilty-lilla-crawford-kristen-anderson-lopez-and-robert-lopez-benj-pasek-and-justin-paul-set-for-2015-junior-theater-festival-337532
