ENDOWMENT AND CAPITAL GIFTS

In May 2016, the Peabody Board of Directors announced the initial formation of a future Peabody Endowment Fund for Peabody School. Structuring work began in 2015 and the endowment was seeded with a gift from Peabody’s founders, Harriet and Eric Kaplan.

This generous donation is the second largest financial gift in Peabody history, and will allow the school to create an endowment for the first time. Per the Kaplan’s wishes, the interest from this endowment in large part will go toward ensuring that students in financial need will be able to attend Peabody.

It is our hope that, over time and with additional donations from our Peabody community, we will grow the Kaplan Peabody Endowment to serve the financial needs of the next generation of Peabody students.

Capital gifts to Peabody School support new facilities and renovations to current facilities. Such projects improve the campus environment and permit Peabody School to continue to offer programs that best serve our students and faculty.  Capital gifts also provide recognition opportunities that honor or memorialize a person of the donor’s choosing.
