Students in grades K-8 attend weekly technology classes and are provided with a foundation that allows them to become confident and proficient typists, to understand and be able to apply the basics of computer programming, and to use common desktop applications. In upper elementary and Middle School, emphasis is put on responsible internet use with a focus on cyber safety and online research. Students in Middle School learn several programming languages to prepare them for the future. Middle school students have the opportunity to participate in programming and design electives in addition to their weekly technology class.
In 2014, Peabody School launched a one-to-one Google Chromebook initiative for all 6th-8th grade students. For the 2015-16 academic year, this program has been expanded to include all students in 3rd-8th grade.
