Field Trips

Getting out into the “real world” is an integral part of a well-rounded education, and at Peabody School, field trips are a matter of course. From visiting the Children’s Museum of Richmond in kindergarten to spending three days on the Chesapeake Bay in eighth grade, our students are exposed to countless off-grounds experiences that not only enrich what they’ve been learning in the classroom, but also provide them with opportunities and challenges to help them grow socially and emotionally.

Here are just a few examples of trips that Peabody kids have taken in the past:

  • Bremo Bluff Power Station
  • Rivanna Reservoir Canoeing
  • Chesapeake Bay – 3 days
  • Richmond Science Museum
  • Amazement Square
  • Wintergreen Ski Resort
  • Well Bear Clinic
  • Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection
  • Museum of American Frontier Culture
  • Richmond Museum of Fine Arts
